NFL Comparison: Lorenzo Booker
Stephfon Green started and ended his career at Penn State well, unfortunately everything in-between didn’t exactly go as planned. Green had a strong season as a freshman as the change of pace back, filling in for Evan Royster. Royster went down in the Rose Bowl and Green really exploded onto the scene, putting up huge numbers against USC’s staunt defense, but, unfortunately, he dislocated his ankle in the second half and missed the whole offseason. Evan Royster saw his workload increase and basically became a one man show for the next two years. Green was relegated to kick return and special teams duties. After Royster graduated, he seemed in line to finally get a good number of touches as a senior but was kicked off the team for undisclosed reasons, many around the program believe this was the cause. His fellow seniors fought to have him reinstated and he finally cracked the lineup again late in the season and had his best production since his freshman year. Green profiles best as a third down back and special teams player in the NFL. Green has return experience and also was one of the top kickoff coverage unit players for Penn State. He’s a solid blocker with breakaway speed to utilize on screen plays.
